PAPER - 9x12” Fluid Brand Cold-Pressed Watercolour Paper Block. It has an orange cover.
Of course, an artist quality watercolour paper that you are familiar with is fine.
WATERCOLOUR PAINTS - 7 COLOURS
I use Winsor & Newton Paints: The Artist Quality are recommended.
Yellow Ochre
Cad Yellow Pale/Light
Cadmium Red
Permanent Rose (or Alizarin Crimson)
Cerulean Blue
Ultramarine Blue
Burnt Sienna.
OPTIONAL - Opera Pink (fun neon pink)
PALETTES - A medium to big palette with a lot of mixing spaces. I use a plastic folding palette which is nice since it closes and protects the paint.
BRUSHES - Sizes 6 and Size 10. I use the Princeton brand called Velvet Touch (long round). They are available at Above Ground on McCaul. They are synthetic brushes that come to a fine point.
BOARD - Masonite Boards are light and affordable. Any board that does not absorb water.
PENCILS - 4B OTHER - Paper towels, Masking Tape, pray bottle and kneaded gum eraser.
NOTE - PLEASE HAVE YOUR PAINTS SQUEEZED OUT, IN THE COLOUR WHEEL ORDER, A FEW DAYS BEFORE THE FIRST CLASS.
Thank you and I look forward to seeing you.
