Event One
Let’s “flock together” and paint some of our flying friends. We will begin by painting a variety of
species perched along a wire. Then we will get our ducks in a row by painting a Mom leading her
brood to the lake. We can create a pair of cardinals or a flashy rooster, time permitting. Learn a
variety of techniques to convey the shapes, colours and texture of feathers. Using transparent
watercolour and a little ink, we will bring out the personalities of our feathered friends. Step by step
demonstrations along with group and personal feedback will enhance our time together. Materials
